Murder at the Exposition
I created this trailer for a game proposal as part of my student work. The game was to be a first person role playing and puzzle game set on the grounds of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. 1893 Chicago was also the home to the country's first serial killer, and the object of this game is to solve the murder by solving a series of puzzles.
For the trailer, I used vintage photographs and a period font to reflect the age of the story. Using Adobe After Effects, I animated the images to punctuate the immense scale of the Exposition. I gave myself additional challenges to animate a ferris wheel and to fly through the fair at the end.
